The Divine Paradox: “I Am Nothing, Yet I Am Everything”

Connect with Spirit Divine Paradox

and Dr. Michael Taylor

Throughout life we encounter plenty of paradoxes on a continual basis.  A paradox is simply a statement that seems to contradict itself, but really it asserts a possible truth.  Examples of paradoxes include, “It was the best of times and it was the worst of times,” and, “Close your eyes so you can see”.

There is a divine or spiritual paradox that many mystics and spiritual leaders have tried to explain throughout the years.  They assert that paradoxes are important components of life and challenge us to expand our consciousness.  They have discovered the hidden treasures of coming to understand a spiritual paradox.

For example, Saint Francis said, “It is in giving that we receive…and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.”  Taoism founder, Lao Tzu, said, “To be empty is to be full.”

There is a great deal to say about the divine paradox when it comes to connecting with Spirit.  The paradox essentially states that in order to find peace and authentic joy, you must stop striving for it externally.

It is a paradox.  To become full of Spirit, you must become empty of self.  By being nothing, you can be everything divine. It is telling you to give up your attachments to external desires and focus on your connection with Spirit.

Understand that the desire for material possessions and even success can project needy vibes according to the law of attraction. The needy vibes will in turn repel positive things that you desire. It’s alright to desire things, but to base emotions and feelings upon whether you acquire them or not is the issue.

For example, if you have a desire to be successful financially and you strive and strive with much effort to get ahead, you’re operating from a place of lack and neediness.  Striving actually repels abundance.

Connecting with Spirit is necessary. The divine paradox says that as you connect with Spirit, you will find a supernatural joy that makes you feel like nothing “extra” is necessary.  Your external desires will not matter as much to you anymore.

Paradoxically, when you do connect with Spirit to such a degree that you are blissful and full of peace, it is then that you are more apt to be attracting those external desires. As a result, abundance and success will come and probably in a way that you did not even expect.

Your divine connection to Spirit causes love and bliss to envelope you. It raises your vibrational levels and as a result, you are more apt to receive blessings and be in synchronistic flow.

When you are in divine connection with Spirit and experiencing the fullness of it, you lose your desire for material possessions or for people to bring you happiness or satiate your appetite.

It is alright to desire things, but to be attached strongly to the outcome can cause negative emotions such as frustration, anger, jealousy, etc.  When you connect to Spirit, you can relax and let go of much stress that comes due to desires, wishes, needs, and so on.  This is the beauty of deepening your connection with Spirit. Let go and receive.
